Do you love chalupas? If so, you’re going to want to read this review!
The chalupas craving box is a new Taco Bell product that was released earlier this year.
It contains all of the fixings for chalupas, including the craving inducing spicy sauce, cheese, and toppings.
However, this product is not currently available, but it might come back soon.
Despite its unavailability, in this article, we will discuss the price, foods, taste, and where you could go to get it (if it was available).
We’ll also tell you what made it good and list some pros and cons.
About this review
Please know that I grew up with Taco Bell.
The tostadas were always my favorite item on the menu at Taco Bell. I remember being a little kid and after school, my friend’s mom would pick us up and we would go to Taco Bell for late lunch.
She always got me the tostadas or their black bean soft taco, and I loved them! They were so cheesy and delicious, I could never get enough.
Ever since then,Taco Bell always held a soft spot in my heart.
Plus, there’s a really cool Taco Bell that also serves beer on the beach a few minutes away from where I currently live in the Bay Area. I really like this Taco Bell, I’m not going to lie!
So, I am biased. I grew up with Taco Bell, and I enjoy it after a day on the beach 🙂
But I’ll try to be as objective as possible in this chalupas craving box review.
I’m not suggesting you eat this too often, but every now and then it’s a sweet deal (again, if it was available!).
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get started!
What is in the chalupas craving box?
The chalupas craving box is a new and (now discontinued) product from Taco Bell that was available only for a limited time.
It includes a Chalupa Supreme with seasoned beef, Burrito Supreme, Soft Taco, Cinnamon Twists, and a Medium fountain drink.
The chalupa has a shell made out of fried chicken. It’s then filled with lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. The burrito is similar, but it has refried beans instead of beef.
The soft taco comes with your choice of either seasoned beef or chicken. And the cinnamon twists are, well, cinnamon twists!
Read about the Chalupa Cravings Box on Taco Bell’s site here. You can find the nutritional information for each of these items on Taco Bell’s website.
How much does the chalupas craving box cost?
According to Taco Bell’s website, the chalupas craving box costs $5.
However, certain stores may charge a bit more or less. It really just depends on the store.
On their website you can also find more info about other common Taco bell foods such as:
- Veggie Burrito Supreme
- Crunchy Taco
- Veggie version of other menu items
- Black Bean Chalupa Supreme
How does it taste?
Some people love it and some people think it’s just okay. I think it really just depends on your personal preferences.
If you’re someone who loves chalupas, then you’re probably going to enjoy this box.
However, if you’re not a big fan of chalupas, then you might not be as impressed.
I myself find the 1100-1380 calories to be either a bit too much or not quite enough, depending on how my body is at the time.
I ordered this item twice when it was being sold. I remember one time being overly full by eating it all, and another time being absolutely ravenous and eating the whole box, but not quite feeling satisfied.
Where can I get it?
The chalupas craving box is currently unavailable. However, it might come back soon.
If it does become available again, you’ll be able to find it at your local Taco Bell restaurant.
What made it good?
There are a few things that made the chalupas craving box good. First of all, it’s a great value for the price. You get a lot of food for only $5.
Another thing that made it good is that it’s perfect for someone who loves chalupas. If you’re craving chalupas, this box will definitely satisfy your craving.
Finally, the cinnamon twists are a nice touch. They add a little something extra to the box and they’re a delicious dessert.
What are the pros and cons?
There are both pros and cons to the chalupas craving box.
Some of the pros include the fact that it’s a great money value, it’s perfect for chalupa lovers, and the cinnamon twists are a nice touch.
However, some of the cons include the fact that it’s currently unavailable and some people might not think it tastes as good as other Taco Bell items.
Overall, I think the pros outweigh the cons, if you value price and like Taco Bell in general.
Also, if you’re craving chalupas, I would definitely recommend trying the chalupas craving box.
Yet if you’re not a fan of Taco Bell, or if you don’t really care about the cheapest deal in town, I personally find Taco Bell’s other options to be a better deal.
Would I order it again?
I know for me personally, I will not order this menu item again.
I feel like there are better options at Taco Bell for the same price, or even cheaper.
Again, I’m a fan of Taco Bell in general, but I don’t think I’ll be getting this item again because I was not a huge fan of how I felt after eating the chalupas craving box. I generally felt either too full or still hungry.
However, if you love chalupas and you’re looking for a great deal, then the chalupas craving box is definitely worth checking out!
But again, the chalupa box is currently unavailable! Is this a sign that they need a new product?
