Can Anxiety Make You Lose Your Appetite

Can anxiety make you lose your appetite?

The answer is a definitive yes, although you will probably ‘regain’ your appetite in a binge later on.

First, the link to the video I mentioned about 4 steps to cure binge eating is here below:

Now … let’s get to it.

Stress makes blood go away from your stomach.

Think fight, flight, or freeze. Stress is an indicator to your body that DANGER is around the corner.

When you are in danger, your blood goes AWAY from your stomach and to your legs so you can run.

This is a simplified example, but basically the blood goes away from your stomach.

When the blood goes away from your stomach, guess what, you can’t feel your hunger.

Have you ever felt stressed out one day and didn’t feel hungry for hours at a time?

Perhaps you went 12-16 hours without food and didn’t even notice it!

Yet then, your body needs to play catch up.

Stress can make you lose your appetite, but then your appetite will catch up.

Let me know what you think.
